Chapter 16

Annika decided to go for a walk around Noumea while the ship was moored. It was a gorgeous day; the foliage on the trees was in full bloom, the sun was up and stroking her beautiful Asian skin, and the wind was just right for her to enjoy her time off. It was a peaceful and lovely afternoon. She had a fantastic day and was returning to the ship when she noticed Jaquelyn and Gemma gazing at her as if she were some kind of evil; their eyes were concentrated on her, staring at her from head to toe.
They approached Annika and surrounded her. "Don't you dare get close to Carl? We have an understanding, and I am dating him. Do you understand me? If I see you again close to him, you will truly be harmed!" Jaqueline was furious, and her eyes were on fire as she said those things to Annika. Gemma stood at Annika's side, her hands on her shoulder, supporting Jaqueline in scaring her. "What do you mean? I was only serving Captain Magnus as his waitress, nothing to be envious of, and I don't have anything with him," Annika said, her head stinging from Jaqueline's hands.
“Could you remove your hands off of my shoulders? While they turned their backs on Annika, Jaqueline pulled her hands from her hair, gave her an unattractive smile, and said, "I think I'm being clear here, Annika! " Annika was terrified, wondering, "How am I going to face and work with these ladies?" They are a well-known notorious group.
