Chapter 65 The Changed Fight

• “ Thank you, your honour”, I said, standing up to my feet and walking towards where Mr Wade was.
• “ Mr Wade, the plaintiff claims that since you were not in the hotel suite when the said crime took place, that you were therefore unsure of what was going on inside. So, can you tell us everything you know that happened on the night of Miss Edwina's murder. Do not leave out any single detail”, I said, nodding at Mr Wade to give him the morale he so much needed.
• He gulped, looking like a child trapped in ice. “ It was at the party”, he began, “ Normally, Josh Lightwood organizes this party every once in a month. He calls his friends over and some girls come over too for the party. As his personal assistant and guard, I'm not usually allowed into the inner suite where the party is hosted, so I usually stay in the outer suite throughout the night”, he tried calming himself before continuing, “ that night, as usual, I was at the outer suite, and there, I watched everyone go in for the party. After about three hours, the girls in the party started screaming inside and some of them started running out of the suite. I thought that something was wrong or that something had happened, so I walked in, only to find Josh Lightwood punching one of the girls; Edwina of course. Most people who personally know Josh Lightwood would bear me witness that he is a maniac who loves beating women, so when I saw the scene, I wasn't exactly surprised, but something seemed off. He was extremely angry that night, unlike before, and he wasn't just punching the girl with his bare fists. He had this gloves with torn-like spikes on them, and it all seemed too serious”.
