• “I never understood the smoking after sex thing,” Aiden said. “I figure if you still have breath to smoke, you weren’t doing it right.”
• “Maybe it’s not right after,” Cade suggested. He took a careful test breath and then said, “I’m pretty sure I could smoke something now. I don’t want to, but I think I could.”
• “You don’t want to,” Aiden echoed. “And you didn’t drink at dinner. All the trouble the frat goes to in order to have wine for the underage diners, and you didn’t want any.” He twisted his fingers through Cade’s, clearly sending the message that he was curious, not judging. “You don’t indulge in any of that? No alcohol, no drugs… not even cigarettes?”
