• I had been indoors for days, and it felt suffocating. I wasn't used to being confined in a space without doing anything, and it's one of the reasons I never agreed to be a full-time housewife. Being alone and unoccupied at such a time in my life wasn't a good deal, and it affected me. I was withdrawn and cried myself to sleep on some days.
• The evening was still young, and I knew I had to find a way to have some fun, so I decided to go on a solo date. I searched through my box and settled for a black midi dress. It was simple and looked quite appropriate and modest. I checked online for restaurants around the house and eventually got one I liked.
