• My world felt like a mask. It felt unfair to stay angry at Emily for getting involved with my son because I was doing the same thing with someone she considered family. Behind all the love and care I showered her with, I was veiled with a double life.
• Everytime I had to lie to Emily that I was running late at the office, were times where I visited Julia in secret. All I had in mind was for it to be transactional, but things got more intimate between us over time, and I could only hope that I never regretted my choices. Julia seemed more available than Emily, and I noticed myself craving her presence more as time went on. I never let it come in the way of my commitment to my marriage with Emily, but I always felt this guilt whenever I thought about it.
