Chapter 2

• She was taught never to take money that comes easily like that, who knows what the owner wants to do with her. As much as it was painful she was not going to take it, she was still hopeful that she will find a better way of obtaining the money.
• She finally lifted her head and shouted “I don’t want it, take it back” some part of her wanted to grab the money but she couldn’t. Her hands felt heavy and she wasn’t able to lift it in an attempt to take the money.
• Paul didn’t think that he heard it right, the woman was rejecting all that money. For sure she wasn’t right in the head and that is why she was walking dangerously on the road. He couldn’t deny it that he admired her for being that strong willed because not so many people will be able to resist such a good offer.
• Paul still continued to insist “I am sorry ma’am but my boss instructed me to give it to you and if he hears that you refused he will not be happy with me.”
• She suddenly felt rage inside and wanted to get over with the matter “Oh…. yeah let me see what he will say when I throw this money on his face. I am not that cheap to be bought with this filthy money.” Betty said with blood shot eyes.
• She swiftly took the money and limped toward the car and threw the money through the window which was slightly open and immediately ran away in to the crowd while limping.
• She kept on saying that she didn’t need the money but deep inside she knew that she wanted to take it so badly but how will she explain to her mother where she got the money because definitely she wasn’t going to understand that some random guy gave her the money after he almost run her over.
• David was startled and furious at the same time, how could a low life like that woman throw money at him after he offered to pay her off. Did she know that he can find her and punish her in the hardest way possible?
• Larry just kept quiet without commenting, he knew that David was in the worst moods possible and he didn’t want to provoke him anymore.
• Immediately Paul climbed back in to the vehicle he stared at him with furious eyes and muttered. “I gave you a simple task and you couldn’t even accomplish it, how was it difficult to convince that woman to take the money, are you aware that this simple act can cause trouble for me?”
• Paul’s only option was to apologize “I am sorry boss but she was so difficult I couldn’t have foreseen that she can do that. Next time I will be more careful in the manner I deal with our subjects.” Paul felt that he had failed in his job and it was all that woman’s fault
• “I want her details in the next two hours. Investigate everything about her and bring it to me. How dare she disrespect me like that, I will find her and teach her a lesson.”
• If the woman wanted to catch his attention then she had done a very good job, however he wasn’t interested in any woman. All he knew how to do was sleep with them and toss them aside, he didn’t want commitments or marriages.
• “David just let the woman be, you are very scornful to my liking” Larry commented but he knew that he was asking for trouble and it didn’t take long before David shouted back at him.
• He looked at his friend with daggers in his eyes and then muttered “Shut up Larry, she will learn not to mess with me again, how could a faceless woman do that to me? Paul drive the car to the club and book the private room. If it is occupied pay them off with whatever amount they ask for.” He ordered his assistance, David needed to be alone and cool off after the disgusting scene he just had with the mysterious woman
• “Alright boss” Paul replied and stepped on the pedals , they have wasted enough time on the road and he couldn’t wait to reach their destination so that David wouldn’t look at him with hateful eyes.
• In the next few minutes, David Scott sat on one of the private room relaxing with his friend Larry. He still couldn’t believe that it was a Friday night and after all the troubles that he had gone through the week and stresses of the work he didn’t find a woman to comfort him.
• He is a ladies man, everyone knew that in the whole city but lately he became bored with the women that are usually on call whenever he needed to lose himself. He felt that they were just becoming nagging and clingy, so he needed to do away with them and find himself a fresh woman to toy with.
• He looked at his watch lazily and asked “Larry I am so bored, what do you think I should do”
• The question took Larry by surprise “Buddy, why are you asking me that kind of a question? Just go to one of those ladies you always like to disappear with every Friday night. I was even starting to wonder why you are here with me this time round. Did you send all of them away? Oh…..you are a bastard, what did they ever do to you to be little them like that.”
• “You know it’s not my fault since Joy left me this is all I ever want to do to forget her, I don’t want to ever love any woman because in the end they will still hurt me. They are all he same man, and I never want to go through the same break up process again. So it is better for me to hurt them before they do it to me.”
• Larry thought for a while then decided to give him a little advice “Alright, but as your friend I am telling you that this life you are living is not good at all. You have to get a hold of yourself and start to do something meaningful with your life. Look, you are a very powerful business man and the only thing that really destroys your name is your womanizer ways.”
