• The tension was thick in the warehouse. Lisa's heart raced as, between Kenneth and Mark, they stood surrounded by armed men. There was a man in a black suit who was apparently an influential member of Nexus; he actually looked like he was enjoying their bleak situation.
• Kenneth urged quietly, "We don't have much time. We have to get out of here, now."
