Chapter 28 The Betrayal

• The sun was setting as Lisa, Kenneth, and Mark trekked through thick woods in Miami. The shadows were growing longer by the minute. They had eluded their pursuers, but they still were in danger.
• Kenneth was injured and on edge. Lisa was trying to decide what options they had open.
• They soon reached a little, isolated cabin that Mark had prepared as a safe house temporarily. Lisa's phone then buzzed at an alert from Detective Sanchez. The message was short but frightening: "We've lost contact with one of our informants. They were close to something big. Stay alert."
