• When Siobhan stepped outside later that night, behind her, Brandy and the cook shut up shop. She was shocked to see that there was a group of reporters, cameras and all, waiting outside.
• Siobhan stood for a minute, stupidly staring at them, trying to understand what the people who were flocking to her, racing to her, mics in hand, wanted. She had not been prepared for this, she thought wildly, panicking. Her employer had returned a while ago, exhausted after driving his wife back from the hospital.
• The normally genial old man had looked harassed and weary. After listening to Siobhan and the others, he had turned away, shoulders slumping.
