Chapter 412 The Corner Tap
- The Corner Tap was a bar that sat wedged between a laundromat and a tattoo parlour, its flickering neon sign humming like it was half-asleep. The tiny place was a favourite among the young student crowd of the University, who flocked to the little bar on evenings. Inside, the scene was typical of young people, with its dim lights and restless energy. The low ceilings had been stained with years of smoke, and the mismatched stools and sticky floors tugged faintly at your shoes. Strings of cheap fairy lights snake along the walls, casting everything in a hazy gold that flatters more than it reveals.
- Siobhan pasted a smile on her face and tried to fight down the hollow feeling in her chest. She felt awful, to be honest, and would have cheerfully runout and headed back to her dismal little room, to mope in silence. For the thought of coming face to face with Rudolph Delano, the man she kept dreaming of, dreams that left her with her sheets tangled around her legs, dreams that made her wet a…it filled her with sick dread. And a longing to see him again.
- Well, she did not have the stomach to see him smile that droll, mocking smile of his as he looked at his girlfriend, the one he was sleeping with currently. A shaft of pure jealousy speared through her as Trace opened his mouth to sing the praises of the lovely Lana again.
