Chapter 81
- As Isabella heard Jack’s footsteps, she hastened to the kitchen to carry his breakfast tray, filled with scrambled eggs, wheat bread and steaming tea, and swiftly served it on the dining table. Jack glanced at the breakfast and then at Isabella and shook his head in disdain.
- It was only the third day after their wedding; Jack had refused to go on the honeymoon trip his father had booked for them, claiming he needed to start work as the new CEO of Mason and VMT company.
- Since their wedding night, Jack had been probing Isabella for information, but she had remained tight-lipped, adhering to Victor’s script. Since Jack couldn't get the information he wanted from Isabella, he started to show her the true nature of their marriage– a marriage devoid of love and affection.
