• After much thought, Victor finally decided to speak to Grace's best friends. He dressed with a sense of anxiety as he prepared for his meeting with Vera. He had called her a day before, that he’d be coming to her place for a discussion, and pleaded with her to keep it from Grace.
• He knew Vera and George were the only ones who could plead with Grace on his behalf. He knew certainly that Grace would be heartbroken after his confession, but with Vera and George's intervention, he hoped her anger wouldn't be too intense.
• Just as he was about to enter his car, Victoria's car drove into his compound. ‘What the hell does this evil woman want again,’ he murmured, staying back as she approached.
