• It was the wedding day, Grace woke up sluggish and angry, still simmering from the previous night’s arguments with Victor over Jade’s revelation of Isabella being a waitress. Victor had vehemently denied it and since then Grace hadn't spoken to him until that morning.
• Victor, wanting to avoid anything that would make his family the headline of the news, decided to apologize before they left for the wedding venue. He approached her calmly, his expression cool.
• “Hurry up and kindly excuse us,” Victor said softly to the makeup artist, who had just finished adding the final touches to Grace's look and was packing up her kit. She hastened up and quickly left.
