• Isabella woke up with the determination to visit Daisy at her office. She was expecting Jack to have left for work, but to her surprise, she was greeted by red and white balloons all over the room. Beside her on the bed was a small, lovely cake with the inscription– ‘Happy Valentine's Day, My love.’
• Her heart swelled with joy, seeing how thoughtful Jack was. She had thought he would forget it was Valentine's Day. But her joy disappeared when she spotted Jack's briefcase, indicating he hadn't left for work.
