But the worst part was, she knew how to locate someone who was meant to be shielded from being found. Which meant, she was extremely powerful in ways that frightened me. Who was she? What did she want with my kids?

That they needed her. It was as if she were trying to persuade me into believing that she was my only saving grace. But something felt off. One of the twins was Elias's, so I knew that he would protect me until they were born. Which was right around the corner, another thing that terrified the fuck out of me.
