Chapter 255 Wonderful Surprise
- KIREN'S P.O.V
- I knew that Zola was excited about locating her father, so I was hoping that bringing him to her would make her overjoyed. Maybe he could bring her some sort of peace in all the madness she was experiencing.
- To walk a mile in her shoes would be exhausting. She always put everyone else before herself. I used to. I may be an angel, but I was no saint. Even though that was exactly what we were supposed to be. I guess you could say I'd lost my way. I hadn't been home in so long that I felt nearly human, a fallen angel. Which, after what I was about to do, I would be just that. I was going against my father. Taking matters into my own hands. Something Lucifer did and got banished for. So, I may as well get used to feeling human because I was sentencing myself to an eternity here. I'd be surprised if I made it out with my wings and my memory to be honest. I was pro-life, but my reputation said otherwise. Others viewed me as this monstrous person, but I wasn't what they thought. All it took was one rumor, one time, and I immediately became feared by all. I chose to leave it that way. It was easier to be feared than not to be. I never lied in order to make myself out to be more than what I was. But I also never corrected the rumor either. I used it to my advantage. Something one may frown upon, considering I was supposed to be this holy figure. But nobody knew my true nature, at least not until late. Since I was breaking all the rules anyway, I may as well indulge in what I would never indulge in before.
