Chapter 244 Long Distance Call
- KIREN'S P.O.V
- I hadn't really told a single person about me. The questions she asked were fairly basic for humans. But what she didn't realize was that I was actually giving her big clues to my identity. Which I have never done before. I normally don't answer questions about myself, period. But here I was, opening up to a woman I've only known a short time. But there was something about her that kept pulling me in deeper.
- I was sent to this realm to accomplish a task that was never given to me. Nor was I supposed to ask questions. It was on me to figure out what it was I was supposed to do to go back home. Now it had me wondering, was she the task? For the first time since being sent to this godforsaken place, I felt like I had a piece of home. I couldn't explain it. But she felt like home. I was doing my best to not allow the feelings to surface, because those were forbidden. I wasn't here to fall in love or be loved. I was sent here to accomplish what nobody else could. At least that is what I kept telling myself. It beats what the alternative meaning of being sent here was; banishment. I hadn't done anything to my knowledge to be banished. Now, my actions since being here weren't exactly "holy", but they also weren't awful either. I was riding the line of what was right and what was wrong most days, but I never crossed either.
