• I knew what I had to do next. I had to escape. It was just doing it undetected was the issue. I may not be locked in my room and treated as a hostage, but she made it apparent she was keeping a close eye on me. Plus, I was starting to lose my mind while being here. I was hearing voices. Or at least I heard one voice. And that one voice kept echoing in my head. 'Find me.' But the pressing question was, do I seek them out? And if I did, how would I do that? It wasn't like the voice came with a face, or even gave any hints of how I could locate them for that matter. So, even if I wanted to seek the woman out, it would be a shot in the dark. However, in my condition, was it even smart for me to do so? I know the value of what I am carrying, and I also know that I shouldn't trust just anyone. Especially some random voice. However, my mind couldn't let it go. Her words 'find me' stirred something deep within my soul, and I wasn't sure if it was a good kind of stir or a bad kind. Either way, it was a calling that I wasn't sure I could ignore. Although I know that I should.
• She must've been a strong witch. One that somehow could locate me, even while wearing the pendant that should shield such information. I involuntarily reached up to the necklace, stroking the gem with my thumb while lost in thought. If she was able to find me, then could the master also know my whereabouts? Surely not. Because if he did, he would've already dragged me back to the awful place that he called my home. I knew one thing for certain: he couldn't find out about my children. He shouldn't know such power would soon exist.
