Chapter 49 The Character She Hates

• Love. A force so strong it can move mountains. A feeling that lingers and can make or break you. A power so strong it can turn a demon into an angel and ... An angel into a demon. Samantha practically made her car flew when she found out where Kyle's lover is hidden. Her face red in anger as she realized that her idol, the one she avidly supports- bought all her books and read all her novels, so thrilled with the plot – and now she is part of it but not as the lead- but as the Villain. "Hey" Angel greeted Samantha with glee, she had known her for a while as she has been her top fan and fan club president for years- her very first fan. The fan that had started it all-the Fan who supported her works from the start- from her first novel to her latest movie. Angel greeted Samantha with a smile even though at the back of her mind she is wondering how Samantha learned about her place. She just shrugged the idea- an action she wished she didn't do just an hour after she opened the door. "Hi! How are you? May I come in?" Samantha had a smile painted on her face while hiding how she clutches her hand at her back. The apartment door slowly opened letting Samantha in. Samantha's eyes hovered around in the small apartment that is not even half of the size of her comfort room. She ran her hands on the shelves and some tables along the way as she walks towards the coach pointed by Angel who clearly saw a smirk on Samantha's face as she wipes off the dust on her fingertips that she got from the places she run her hands into. " I see that you are not that fond of cleaning, maybe because you are such a great writer," Samantha smiled calmly after saying this in a sarcastic tone that made Angel's eyebrows raise a bit. "did I go too far? I mean did a hit something I shouldn't?" Samantha raised from her seat, towering Angel as she is far taller than here. Looking at them together now anyone would be able to recognize that Samantha is way prettier than Angel, way taller, and had clearer skin because she is younger and had a better life- though Kyle would never agree on that, that there is anyone prettier than Angel. In Samantha's eyes, this is an insult, an insult that made her blood boil and her head in a hot mess. She looks at how plain Angel is, especially this time when a visitor is at a surprising visit and Angel is just wearing shorts and a shirt in contrast with Samantha who is wearing a Gucci mini dress. "That is the same feeling I have now," Crossing his arms and looking at Angel seriously. The tension is there. Anyone can feel it. Angel felt anxious for a reason, though she doesn't know why but clearly Samantha's eyes looking at her now are like a double-edged sword piercing through her flesh and soul. Angel wonders where all of this anger comes from, She had seen Samantha for years and her eyes had never met hers this way. Samantha is a jolly person whose love for books and literature is so strong, and an avid fan who loves her. There is not even a hint of that on how Samantha is looking at her now and Angel is experienced to know that something is going on. "Are you okay?" Angel asked in a calm tone, a trick she learned from a psychologist when she was doing interviews for one of her works before- and it worked. "Yea yea I am, Sorry for all this mess haha" Samantha seated again as she awkwardly forces a laugh. " I actually came here for this," Samantha handed the engagement invitation to Angel eagerly anticipating her reaction as she reads the names on it. And she was pleased, Samantha watches closely as Angel reads Kyle's name in front of the invitation, smirking as she saw how shocked Angel is. "I am sorry for my attitude a while back, I am just a little annoyed because my fiance seems to have another woman. " Samantha was able to grab Angel's attention and she almost could hide how pleased she is when she saw the fear in her eyes. "I mean, that so unethical, I am sure she knows the man she is with has a fiancee' what a slut, OMG sorry for my word I hope you understand, I am all around the place since this morning but I will never miss out inviting you to my engagement, after all, I am your biggest fan," A Smile, Samantha said those with a smile that is not reassuring, it is a type of smile that somehow sends a message back off that is what Samantha's smile sends to Angel and she is too smart and guilty to miss that message. Samantha walks toward Angel, disguising her actions as an act of returning the cup of coffee she gave her when she came. Angel almost made the impulse of stepping back when Samantha is walking towards her. Then the coffee cup fell on Angel's clothes. "Oh, I am so sorry, I am really a mess today I think I should go home now, Oh my gosh I am terribly sorry," Angel is too stunned to speak as she watches Samantha hurriedly go out of her small apartment waiving her goodby and still showing an apologetic look while talking to someone on the phone. She even though she heard Samantha say Kyle's name Angel is not sure, she is not sure of anything at this moment. She is not sure what to do. Right now, the reasons for not loving Kyle are too many as compared to the only reason to stay- Her love for him. Angel's knees failed her as she falls to the grown while soaking wet from the cup of coffee that Samantha seemed to accidentally splash on her, though the term accidentally here is quite questionable. Angel's mind is blank, her knees are weak and her head is heavy as questions storms her head. She doesn't know what to do or how to move on from this but one thing is for sure Kyle is meant for someone else and as a decent human being, it would be respectable to stop now.
