• I am sitting on the grass in front of my mother and father's graves with Kieran next to me, and there's silence around us except for the birds. My heart felt much calmer now than it had previously and Kieran had been very patient with everything that had happened today.

• "My dad liked fishing," I muttered out loud. "He enjoyed it so much but I hated it.
