Chapter 112 Damn Feelings

• I first met Elijah Rhodes when I was at my most vulnerable and miserable lowest point in life. I never once expected anyone to be there for me, not even a complete stranger had crossed my mind. Since Zelda and I arrived at Costove's, he has been the one to assist us most of the time. He has also driven me around the small town in his red pickup truck while pointing out the shops and telling me which is which and what things are found in there which was really thoughtful of him. He was the one with whom I developed a close friendship in Costove's, and everyone who knew him kept gushing about what a generous and compassionate person he was.
• I saw firsthand how he was a true gentleman and how laid back he was. I do not want other people to think that I am taking advantage of him because he has been so good to me and Zelda.
• The second we reached the nearest small hospital in town as the doctors began to examine Zelda’s condition and I think they were greatly worried about her back pain. I have always been anxious about the pain that she has been whining about for days now because I have a feeling that the painkillers are not actually working for her anymore and she probably needs more dosage or a whole new medicine. I even wonder if her condition is actually getting worse because of the not so often treatment that I give her since I am always short on the budget.
