  • "Eric, get your lazy ass out of bed before I do so for you!" I yelled as I pounded on his door.
  • Two days had passed since the good news about the restaurant's ownership. True to his word, Theo had finalised everything and transferred the ownership of the restaurant to me the previous day. Of course, I was excited enough to take Eric out on a family outing. We had gone to the mall and then watched one of his action movies at a cinema. My only two regrets were that Theo couldn't join us and that I chose the wrong day for an outing. It was a school night, and Eric and I had come home quite late.
  • "Alright, alright, I hear you." I heard his distorted mumbling, followed by the rustling of bedsheets and then the slow and lazy shuffling of feet.
