• Eris’ eyes widened at the sudden kiss and she was so stunned that she forgot she was supposed to push him away. Mark’s kiss was aggressive and intrusive as his domineering presence engulfed her. Dimly, she registered the urgency with which he kissed her but she forgot to respond to it.
• On the other hand, the sweet taste of Eris took Mark by surprise. They might be husband and wife on paper but in the whole four years of their marriage, he had never once kissed her nor held her in his arms.
