Chapter 68 A: Avery

- The door snaps close behind me, pushing my heels off of my swollen feet. Relief floods through my muscles as my toes sink into the soft rug, my toes spreading and stretching, flexing out the knots. Exhaustion makes me weary, my bones heavy and moving to the bed seems damn near impossible. After the day I’ve had, the only thing I want out of life is a nap.
- Who knew negotiating a prenup and planning a wedding could become such an excruciatingly demanding job? The last few days have been nonstop busy. Between the meetings with the lawyers, coupled with planning a wedding that’s less than a week away, I can barely stand upright.
