Chapter 32 Jackson & Avery
- JACKSON
- Two weeks. Two fucking weeks of drowning my guilt in the bottom of a bottle. For them to show up here looking for Avery. My security cameras informing me of their impromptu visit. The incessant hammering at my door is overly obnoxious, demanding attention. Water drips from my hair onto the shirt I threw on to greet my unlikely visitors.
- “Where the fuck is she?” Hayden demands, pushing himself through the door I’m holding. My father and mother following behind him. The great Frederick Summers appears disinterested, and bored, only here out of obligation and fear of the deal falling through. He doesn’t care about Avery, he only wants to make sure she will not embarrass him.
