Chapter 90
- Cesmae’s POV
- The morning sun filters through the grand windows of the palace dining hall, casting a soft glow over the room as I take my seat beside Kylian. The long table is set for breakfast, filled with freshly baked bread, fruits, and steaming cups of tea. I should be hungry, but my stomach feels tight, knotted with thoughts I can’t seem to shake. Ever since leaving Raizel’s chambers, that pit in my stomach has only grown. I tell myself it’s nothing—just nerves. After all, Kylian and I are finally talking about our mating ceremony, and this should be the happiest time of my life.
- Kylian leans over to kiss my cheek, his expression warm, though there’s a hint of something in his eyes that makes me pause. “Good morning, my future mate,” he says with a grin. His voice is smooth, confident. He seems to be in an extra good mood today, must have something to do with the wedding plans.
