Cesmae's POV
As I wait in the guestroom for Kylian’s friends to arrive, I try to steady my nerves. It's not the first time I'm meeting them—I'd met them previously at Kylian's party and at the livery—but that doesn't make their presence any less unnerving.
Especially not Iridian, whose disdain for me is always barely hidden beneath the surface. Till this day I still suspect she somehow had something to do with my loose saddle incident. I need to be careful around her. I'm wearing my scent blocking patch, as usual. I don't want any problems. Not today.
