• He opened the door, and the blaring music hit me immediately. The room was a cavernous space, soundproofed to contain the raucous energy of the party within. It was filled with about thirty Lycans, their scents mingling in the air—harsh, overwhelming, and far from the soothing and intoxicating allure of Kylian’s and Raizel’s. The atmosphere was charged with a mix of excitement and raw energy.
• Lycans engaged in various activities; some were gathered around a table playing cards, their voices rising in competitive banter. Others danced, their movements wild and uninhibited. A group near the far end of the room was furiously making out, oblivious to the rest of the world. Alcohol flowed freely, and laughter and shouts filled the air.
