As much as I wanted to avoid Raizel, I knew he was my only hope of finding out who sent the letter. Kylian, despite how much I trusted him, didn’t know the full truth about me yet, and with him tied up dealing with that man... I just couldn’t bring myself to burden him any more. The guilt of my earlier accusations still weighed heavily on me.
So it was Raizel. It always seemed to come back to him. As much as I tried to distance myself, fate kept pushing me toward him. I hated it, the way my heart fluttered with anticipation and dread at the thought of seeing him again after everything that had happened between us.
