• Cesmae's POV
• I rush through the palace corridors, my heart pounding in my chest as I make my way to Raizel’s office. The gravity of what I overheard in the kitchen still grips me with a cold, unrelenting fear. I know I need to act fast, or everything I’ve worked so hard to build here could crumble.
• When I reach the hallway leading to Raizel’s office, I spot Caius standing guard outside the large double doors. His imposing figure is as unyielding as ever, his eyes narrowing when he sees me approaching.
