Chapter 88 Not His Favourite Person

• It was a minute to seven in the morning. The sun was slowly rising and was at the horizon. Alejandra opened her eyes slowly and woke up. She sat up on the futon and blinked twice. She yawned, with her hand covering her mouth. She turned to her right and saw Nicolas wasn't in bed. He had got out of bed two hours early, to finish the work he couldn't finish at the office.
• Alejandra thought she had overslept. She hurriedly checked the time on the digital clock on the bedside table. Then, it had become five minutes past seven. She noticed his car key was still on the table. She got out of the futon and kept the pillow on the main bed. She rolled up the futon. She went to the socket, close to the bedside table. She bent down a little and turned it off.
• Alejandra had left her phone to charge all night. She unplugged the charger and left it on the table. She pressed the power button once and saw her phone was fully charged. She slipped into her slippers and left the room. She climbed the stairs and had her hand on the handrail. She was almost at the last stair and saw Liliana walking passed the staircase.
