- The taxi pulled over at the hospital and Alejandra paid their fare. They got in and went straight to Pilar's room. Pilar was getting ready to go to the theatre for surgery.
- "Ah, you're here!" Dr. June said, acknowledging their presence when she saw them.
- "Good morning, Doc!" Alejandra said with a warm smile.
