Chapter 42 Found You

• Alejandra was getting ready to leave for work. She was dressed up and was putting on her ballerina flats. She went to the kitchen and turned on the lights. She opened the fridge and brought out three punnets of different berries in it–raspberries, cranberries and strawberries. She also took two fingers of bananas and a small pawpaw. She kept them on the worktop and closed the fridge.
• Alejandra selected the berries she needed and put them in a bowl. She kept the punnets back in the fridge. She peeled the skin of bananas; sliced them and put the sliced pieces in the blender. She walked to the sink and turned on the tap. The bowl was under the running water and she washed the berries. She turned off the water and poured the berries into the blender as well.
• Alejandra washed the paw paw. She placed the pawpaw on a chopping board and cut it into halves. She further cut one of the halves into half. She chose one of the halves–the halves she had cut into half–and discarded the rest. She covered the rest of the pawpaw with cling film and kept it back in the fridge. She peeled the skin of the pawpaw, removed the seeds and threw them, along with the skin of the pawpaw into the dustbin. She cut into the cubes and put it into the blender.
