• Maverick sat in the entertainment club with a pile of empty wine bottles before him. He had already drunk a lot, but he was still sober.
• Anna walked in and snatched the wine glass in his hand away. “Don't drink anymore, Maverick.” Because of Josephine, the man had been drinking himself to oblivion there every night.
