• Maverick sounded extremely nonchalant about it, but Josephine felt as though she was sitting on pins and needles. Her palms were all sweaty as she took his place at the poker table.
• As she didn't even know the rules of poker, she was practically giving out free wins to her opponents. In less than ten minutes, she had lost all the chips that Maverick won earlier.
