Chapter 9 The Right To Be Angry

  • Josephine dragged her exhausted body back to the mansion. After greeting Rosa, she returned to her room to rest.
  • At the same time, Maverick was in a private room at Opulence Entertainment City, sitting intimately close to Anna.
  • Anna had absolute authority over the operations of the entertainment city, even though it was a subsidiary of Maverick's Black Empire Group. Beside him, she whined, “You haven't visited in days, Maverick.”
  • “Hmm. I was caught up at the company,” he explained simply.
  • She tenderly removed the wine glass from Maverick's hand and said, “Then you should drink less strong liquor. Why don't I switch this out to something lighter?”
  • He hugged her and asked, “Are you worried about me?”
  • “Of course. You don't have a strong stomach.” Anna switched out his drink and added, “You always forget to look out for yourself.”
  • “Well, he has you to look after him, doesn't he, Anna?” The comment came from Gregory, who sat beside the two. Like him, the other people in the private room were Maverick's usual bunch.
  • Another regular in the bunch, Javier Holton, gulped his drink and guffawed before saying, “Exactly! Boss has the beautiful Anna to care for him. What else do we need to worry about?”
  • Anna appeared shy as she burrowed closer into Maverick's embrace. Though he had married Josephine from the Quillen family, Anna knew there were no feelings attached to the union.
  • Another friend, Zachary Morrison, poured himself some alcohol and asked, “Hey Boss, how's Ms. Quillen treating you? Probably can't compete with Anna, eh?”
  • “That depends. Don't you remember Ms. Quillen's night escapades? I can't believe she even played innocent that night! What a surprise!” Javier had run into a heavily made-up Jasmine at nightclubs in the past. She had been wearing a tight, skimpy dress and was dancing seductively. She even made out with strangers in public.
  • So he was understandably surprised to see a shy “Jasmine” that night. It was almost as if she had had a personality transplant.
  • Maverick smoked and drank quietly. He did not care about Jasmine's character and only wanted to humiliate her. Isn't that the whole purpose considering how Cliff basically shoved her at me?
  • “Oh, so you met her, Javier? Didn't you... sample the goods?” Zachary joked, pulling his friend's leg.
  • To everyone's surprise, Javier replied defensively, “That's nonsense! Boss would kill me based on your words alone! Don't make jokes like that. Besides, I would never touch a woman like her.”
  • Anna looked at Maverick questioningly. Did he sleep with Ms. Quillen?
  • Maverick set aside his glass and said, “Why are you all staring at me? I'm a normal man.” The implications of his response were clear. He had slept with his wife, who turned out to be a virgin.
  • What a joke. Jasmine is full of schemes.
  • His words caused Anna to stiffen. She thought he would only humiliate his wife instead of bedding her.
  • “Maverick, you've upset Anna,” Gregory uttered upon noticing Anna's expression.
  • Anna quickly feigned nonchalance. I'm not his only romantic partner. Maverick never promised himself to anyone, including her. She was the only one who had lasted this long, yet she had not yet earned his devotion.
  • She once had longed to be his only partner, yet she knew it would remain as nothing more than a dream.
  • Later that night, Maverick entered Anna's room and saw her sitting at the vanity table. He asked, “Are you angry, Anna?”
  • “No. Do I have the right to be angry? Is she good to you?” Anna had always wondered about his interaction with his wife. That woman doesn't know how to take care of others, right?
  • Maverick pulled her into his arms and coaxed, “You should be angry. You're the only one who has the right to do so.” I'm giving her said power and right.
  • “Really?” An enchanting smile lit up Anna's face, and she leaned into his arms.
  • “Are you questioning my sincerity?” he asked calmly.
  • His emotions ran cold as always.
  • “No. I would never. I'll always listen to you and only you.” Anna tiptoed and kissed his lips, continuing, “Stay with me tonight, okay?”
  • He did not nod but deepened their kiss, closing the gap between her bodies, and leaned to her ear. He wrapped his wet tongue around her earlobe and whispered into her ear, “I want my dick buried in that wet pussy.” Maverick snaked his hand under Anna’s dress and rub his way up her inner thighs. “Part your legs.” Anna slightly opened her legs. He has begun to caress her vagina, using his thumbs to massage her clit in circles. She bit her lower lips and her knees buckled because she was still standing.
  • “Get on the bed.” She heard his voice. She lay on her back and he guided her hands from her neck down to her nipples. The sensation sent ripples down her spine and he whispered inaudible things to her. Just then, he inserted two fingers into her vagina and began to finger her. Her pussy juice began to drip out from her, down to his and the bed. He began to thrust multiple times into her as he choked you, pumping faster. Orgasm hits her, as she clenched her breast so right, her cunt squeezing around his dick, her cum spilled on the bed.
  • On the other hand, Josephine slept soundly after taking her medication. She felt much better and headed downstairs, where she saw Rosa preparing breakfast. “Would you like my help, Rosa?”
  • “It's all right, Ms. Quillen. You've just recovered, and you need more rest. I've prepared something nutritious for your breakfast.” Rosa no longer had a bad impression of Josephine. In fact, she found her employer's wife to be an obedient, kind girl, and she wondered if Maverick had sorely misunderstood Josephine.
  • When Josephine noticed that Rosa had prepared one set of cutlery, she asked, “Where's he, Rosa? Did he not come home?” Or does he not eat breakfast?
  • “Mm-hmm. Mr. Lambert didn't come home. Actually, he doesn't often come here, so just relax while you're living here.” Rosa could tell that Josephine was frightened of him and that she was always instinctively trying to avoid him.
  • Josephine spooned some oatmeal into her mouth and nodded. She did not say anything else because she needed to rush to school.
  • She quickly tidied up her books and headed out, carrying her backpack. In her haste, she did not see where she was going and bumped into a person's solid chest.
