Chapter 8

  • Isabella's eyes fluttered open, her mind foggy from the darkness that had consumed her. She tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over her, making her wonder what kind of powers consumed her. It's so strange. As she struggled to clear her foggy mind, she noticed a piece of paper on the bedside table with a menacing message scrawled in red ink: "Strike one."
  • A chill ran down her spine as she realized she was in grave danger. She frantically scanned the room, her heart racing with fear. Where were her children? She had to find them.
  • She quickly got up, her eyes scanning the rom for her kids. That's when she saw it - a second message on the wall, written in the same red ink: "Max is mine now." Isabella's heart skipped a beat as she realized her son Max was missing. She stumbled towards the door, her mind racing with fear. Where was he? Who had taken him? "Oh moon goddess, I need you. Please. I'm tired. Can I have a break? Please!", she cried out loud.
  • She flung open the door and stumbled into the hallway, her eyes scanning the empty corridors for any sign of her son. That's when she saw Delta Dave, standing at the end of the hall, a sly smile spreading across his face.
  • "Looking for someone?" he asked, his voice dripping with malice.
  • Isabella's heart sank as she realized Delta Dave was involved in Max's disappearance. She charged towards him, her fists clenched with anger.
  • "Where is he?" she demanded, her voice shaking with rage.
  • Delta Dave chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, Isabella. You're so predictable. You'll never find him."
  • With that, he turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving Isabella alone and frightened.
  • She knew she had to act fast. She couldn't let Delta Dave get away with her son. She charged down the hallway, determined to find Max and bring him home safe.
  • But as she turned a corner, she realized she was heading nowhere as she didn't even know where to begin from. The corridors seemed to stretch on forever, with no sign of Max or Delta Dave.
  • "I have to call, Alpha Kayden".
  • Suddenly, she heard a noise behind her. She spun around, her heart racing with fear. That's when she saw Alpha Jackson and Alpha Kayden, standing in the shadows, their eyes fixed on hers.
  • "Isabella, we've been looking for you," Alpha Jackson said, his voice low and urgent.
  • Isabella's heart skipped a beat as she realized they might be able to help her find Max.
  • "I was about to call you. Delta Dave has my son," she exclaimed, her voice shaking with fear.
  • Alpha Kayden's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched with anger. "That uncultured puppy!" he growled. "I have to inform Jayden and we need to get you and your other kids out of here. Its no longer safe, here for you".
  • "I'm not leaving without my son. I shouldn't have come here for this treaty. Its been nothing but trouble".
  • "You made a good choice being here. I've accepted your treaty, dear Isabella. I'll protect you and the red wood pack. We're aligned and this problem is no longer only yours, I'm now involved." Alpha Jackson said
  • Alpha Kayden's words were like a balm to Isabella's frazzled nerves. She felt a surge of hope and determination, knowing that she had the support of the two powerful alphas.
  • "Let's split up and search the premises," Alpha Jackson suggested, his eyes scanning the area. "We need to cover more ground if we're going to find Delta Dave and Max."
  • Isabella nodded, her mind racing with the possibilities. She knew that every minute counted, and she couldn't bear the thought of Max in Delta Dave's clutches.
  • "I'll search the east wing and garden," Alpha Kayden said, his voice firm. "Jackson, you take the west wing. Isabella, stay with me."
  • Isabella nodded, feeling a sense of safety with Alpha Kayden by her side. Together, they set off towards the east wing, their senses on high alert for any sign of Delta Dave or Max.
  • As they walked, Alpha Kayden filled her in on the layout of the premises. "This place is a maze," he explained. "But I know it like the back of my hand. We'll find Max, don't worry."
  • Isabella nodded, trying to keep her spirits up. But the silence was oppressive, and she couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. Suddenly, Alpha Kayden stopped in his tracks, his head cocked to one side. "Do you hear that?" he whispered.
  • Isabella listened, her ears straining to pick up any sound. And then she heard it - a faint rustling noise, followed by the sound of footsteps.
  • "It's Delta Dave," Alpha Kayden growled, his eyes flashing with anger, and his wolf daring to break free. "Stay behind me, Isabella."
  • But Isabella was not one to hide. She stood tall, her heart pounding with fear, as Alpha Kayden charged forward, his fists clenched.
  • The corridor seemed to stretch on forever, the tension building with every step. And then, suddenly, they turned a corner and came face to face with Delta Dave.
  • He was holding Max hostage, a sly smile spreading across his face. "Well, well, well," he sneered. "Look what we have here. The cavalry has arrived."
  • Isabella's heart skipped a beat as she saw Max, his eyes wide with fear. She knew she had to act fast, or risk losing him forever.
  • "Let him go, Delta Dave," Alpha Kayden growled, his voice low and menacing.
  • Delta Dave chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, I don't think so," he said, his grip on Max tightening.
  • And then, everything happened at once. Just as Alpha Kayden charged forward, his fist met the air as he realised a beautiful, white werewolf has charged on Delta Dave, Devouring him. Isabella launched herself at Delta Dave, determined to save her son but stopped as she saw this beautiful wolf. Max, sensing his chance, wriggled free from Delta Dave's grasp and ran towards his mother.
  • The corridor erupted into chaos, under the moonlit sky, the white wolf towers with a striking blend of fierce grace and primal power. Its fur glistens like silver in the night, rippling over Delta Dave with both agility and strength.
  • As it lunges into the Delta Dave with its sharp claws gleaming. Each movement is a dance of elegance and savagery. "Alpha Jackson in his glory", Isabella whispered.
  • Despite the chaos, an aura of wild majesty surrounds this white wolf, transforming violence into an art of survival.
  • "It's over," Alpha Kayden growled, his eyes flashing with triumph.
  • "I don't think it is. With all due respect, Alpha Jackson I don't think you should have killed him. We need him."
  • "You're right Isabella, " Alpha Kayden said. "What prompted Delta Dave to strike at your son? Who is he working with or for? We're not completely safe".
  • Isabella rushed towards Max, embracing him tightly. "I'm so sorry, baby," she whispered, tears of relief streaming down her face.
  • Max hugged her back, his eyes wide with fear. "I was so scared, Mommy," he whispered.
  • Isabella held him close, her heart pounding with emotion. She knew that she would never let him out of her sight again.
