• As Isabella sat nestled in the hospital room, the muted beeping of machines offered a strange comfort. She felt both exhausted and relieved, as the nurse showed her the hospital phone she could use for her calls.
• "You can make 3 phone calls a day, and its used for an hour each", the nurse said. "You can also press this button if you need a nurse’s attention and any of us will be here in a jiffy" the nurse continued showing her the button beside her bed, then left.
• Isabella's fingers nervously tapping the hospital phone as she reviewed the events that had led her there. The kids were sound asleep in adjacent beds, their peaceful faces a reassurance amidst the chaos.
