Chapter 137
- The sun was setting over in Los Angeles, its soft orange and pink hues blending seamlessly into the horizon as Isabella stepped into the apartment. The space was airy and bright, with elegant furnishings that spoke of comfort and luxury. After what felt like an eternity of driving, the familiarity of a hotel or any temporary lodging felt uninviting. This was different. Jayden had made sure of that.
- “I can’t believe you guys went through all this trouble,” Isabella murmured, her voice tinged with disbelief as she looked around the room. “We’re leaving tomorrow, Jayden. This is really a waste.”
- Jayden chuckled lightly, his carefree demeanor shining through the evening shadows. “I want you and the kids to be extremely comfortable, Isabella. You’ve been through enough stress. You deserve a night to just breathe. Besides” he raised an eyebrow, his playful smirk returning “I can’t have you and those kids turning into little gremlins because you didn’t get proper rest.”
