Chapter 84 Ethan's Redemption

• "How come you're here, Ethan?" I asked. My tone was laced with frustration when opening the door to find him standing there. His eyes, dark and brooding, flashed an intensity not seen for a long time. Something was different, but I just didn't know if I cared to find out what it was.
• "I had to see you, Jasmine," he whispered as he stepped into the entryway. "I couldn't go on like this. Not after what I did."
• I wrapped my arms around myself, leaning against the doorframe, making sure to keep my distance. "What? You want some sort of redemption? You believe an apology will make all this disappear?
