Chapter 63 A Year Later

• “Dad.” I turn to see Tonya smile and then she starts dancing in her baby blue leotard and tutu on her tiptoes.
• She has the lead in the ballet tonight, and we are all dressed up in our suits and ball gowns. The pups are so much bigger now, they look like they are at least 6 years old. In their suits and dresses, they look like they are ready to take on the world.
• It’s amazing that just last year they were newborn pups and couldn’t even walk, let alone hold a conversation with an adult. Looking at them now, I think to myself, “Wow, they are smarter than I could possibly ever imagine. Every time I turn my back, the boys are getting into mischief, while the girls are learning everything, they can about the world around them.
