• Lady Delilah had come into Rosa’s chamber with a hot cup of tea. She almost laughed as she spotted her brother, the Viscount of Lancashire, cradling Rosa in his lap, with one hand wrapped around Rosa while the other stroked her hair. Charles had spoken soothing words in their native tongue. Charles had motioned his head toward her, giving her the look of don't you dare start your antics.
• She cleared her throat so that Rosa would know that she was there. “I didn't know how you liked your tea,” Delilah had spoken up. She watched Rosa cut off her brother while looking at the cup. “So I just took a guess.”
