Chapter 7 ~ Ready Set Action ~
- ~ Ready ... Set ... Action ~
- Dark clouds began to proceed in over the location, blocking out the majority of the sun's rays. The wind was chilly but not strong. The Earl of Lancashire peered out the back window. A sleek jet descended onto the tarmac. Its engines hummed as it came to a complete stop. He could imagine, inside, the contestant's anticipation for the contest they were about to participate in.
- A low voice came from the back seat, "Aiden ... Make sure Travis understands what he is to do next!" William clenched his hands into fists. 'I will have to deal with Travis before Friday!' He thought to himself as he narrowed his sight on the jet. "Everything has to run smoothly from here on out!"
- The moment the jets stopped moving, Aiden stepped out of the car. He surveyed the scene with a keen eye. Ensuring that everything was in order and ready for the participants to emerge from the jet. With care, two men pushed a set of stairs across the tarmac and up against the side of the plane.
- "Already!" One of the males yelled, putting a thumb up to let the flight attendants know they could proceed with the next task.
- With the door wide open, a female flight attendant secured the stairs to the jet's side. Allowing the people inside the plane to get to the ground safely.
- The drivers of the many cars, who were employees of the Lancashire family, had stepped out of the vehicles, one at a time. Opening the back doors so the contestants could easily slide into the back seats.
- Like a grand parade, the contestants descended down the stairs with smiles on their faces. At the head of the line, The Game Master conducted the caravan of marching feet. The Game Master gazed around. He was confident that this contest would be no different than the other games that were hosted. With the plan set in motion, The Game Master was ready to greet the master with enthusiasm.
- Internally chuckling, 'Nothing will go wrong!" The Game Master steadied his nerves. 'Rosa has no idea what she has gotten herself into!'
- Meanwhile, gradually, Aiden motioned his feet forward, only stopping once he reached the bottom of the stairs. At the bottom of the steps, he encountered The Game Master. Standing to the side, Aiden gave him the necessary instructions. Aiden realized immediately that once The Game Master was without an audience, William would reprimand him for his sloppy performance.
- The Game Master nodded in agreement, understanding everything Aiden told him. Turning to attend to the people, He then relayed the information to the competitors.
- Cheers erupted at the end of The Game Master's speech. With the motioning of The Game Master's arms, the contestants split apart and headed slowly to the cars that were available to them.
- "I can't believe that I am actually here!" A female jumped up and down as if she were a child.
- Meanwhile, airline employees continued to collect the contestants' belongings. A few times shouts would be heard, "watch what you are doing!" or "I got that!"
- The contestants' belongings were appropriately packed in a separate vehicle. The employees prepared to take the luggage back to the Mansion. Once they arrived, the employees neatly placed the bags and suitcases at the front door for the contenders to collect.
- Killer Kitten grabbed the camera out of the suitcase, powered it on, and set out on her next task. With the camera comfortably resting on her shoulder, She wandered around the location, recording the vibrant scene around them. Even the car drivers smiled.
- Knowing this event would be posted on their channel, Killer Kitten needed an intro for the video. Their YouTube channel ratings were slowly plummeting, and Killer Kitten was required to provide an epic show that would draw their fans back to them. The pressure was on, yet Killer Kitten was ready to take the challenge head-on.
- Killer Kitten seized the electrifying energy displayed by the competitors. With a warm smile, Killer Kitten approached each participant, "This is for the intro of the video. Can you state your name for the camera?" Killer Kitten asked them to share their names.
- Buzzing with energy and waving to the camera, each contender introduced themselves with their gamer tag. Each gamer's name was picked to suit the player's personality or interests.
- "Hi everybody, I am Astral Voyager," Astral Voyager cheerfully said. Telling the camera where they were from and how excited he was to be part of the contest. Once Astro Voyager was done speaking to the camera, he allowed the next person to speak.
- Taking the time to say a quick thank you to the driver, Astral Voyager slid into the car.
- Following suit, the other contestants mimicked Astral Voyager. There was; My Thick Knight, Cyber Pink Punk, Arcane Ma-Strony, Luna Wand Strong, Shadow Blade, Pixie Ghost, Nova Frost, Cyber Beast, Fox Fire, Double O, Silent Hunter, Sneak Snake, Vortex Box, Hoser, Keener, Yeah No Yeah, White Mexican, and Maple Syrup Lickher. They all repeated the greeting and happily entered the cars that were provided.
- Killer Kitten surveyed the area, aware that one last contestant still needed to complete the game's introduction segment. At the top of the stairs stood Rosa, her bag slung over one shoulder and suitcase in her hand. She was wearing sunglasses. Her vibe said, 'Back off and do not talk to me!'
- With one hand on the railing, Rosa slowly descended the stairs, keeping a watchful eye on the scene before her. Killer Kitten anticipated that it would be a challenge to get her to speak to the camera. Rosa's reputation was well-known among many who had worked with her in the past. She was complex and demanding. With a no-nonsense approach to any task, she was hired for. Rumours floated around the community, and Rosa was the best of the best with her multi-skills. Quickly placing her in the top 10 of her profession. With her flexibility to fill in significant roles, Rosa was the ideal person to hire. If the person who hired Rosa, could have gotten past her dismissive attitude, along with the other characteristics that held her back from being on the top 5 list.
- Wrinkling her nose with disdain, "Shit!" Killer Kitten whispered. Remembering the plan, Killer Kitten knew Rosa would be in and out of the game in no time. They only had to endure a few hours with Rosa, tops 24 hours.
- 'God damn it Travis why did you have to piss off Rosa!' With fierce determination, Killer Kitten exhaled deeply, "I got this!" Killer Kitten's chest rose and fell in a focused rhythm. Steeling herself, she confidently strode toward the final contestant. 'It is just a simple introduction. This can't be that hard! Even if she is a raging bitch!' Killer Kitten thought.
- Killer Kitten knew Rosa would be challenging and would not reveal her identity to the camera. Nevertheless, she needed to complete a video, and she was determined to finish it, even if Rosa was intimidating to everyone else.
