• That was a brilliant question. “Who will it be Fiona?” One of the voices in my head taunted in a snide hiss, almost serpentine in nature. The chatter in the cafeteria was like a constant hum, the air filled with excited whispers and giggles. It seemed that everyone, from the freshmen to the seniors, was caught up in the anticipation of the school anniversary event, and honestly, I felt sick to my stomach and I couldn’t name the reason.
