• Fiona’s POV
• There is this quote from Robert Tea which I read up somewhere which says that, “Broken people are beautiful. They have to put themselves back every day.” The simplicity of this quote resonated with something within me. Something hollow and broken, something tired of fighting to stay alive.
• Kai’s apology and his vow has left a bittersweet taste in my mouth. I felt wronged but seen, everything felt off but felt right at the same time. It was all contradictory to the whirlwind of emotions which had me breaking down in tears at his embrace. I wept knowing that however I ended up, Kai would be there to pick up the shattered bits of my heart and piece them back together. He just seemed to know exactly what I wanted at that moment, and it was comfort.
