Chapter 38

• For two good minutes, Alexander Clay was still where Natalie left him. He didn't move an inch from where he stood as he processed all that She said. He didn't want to believe Natalie but some of what she said got him thinking and the possibility of her being right about Arianna was starting to make his heart ache.
• Alex ran his left fingers through his hair and with one last glare at the direction that Natalie disappeared to, he proceeded to his room.
• Slamming the door behind him, Alexander started pacing up and down his room. "It's true that when she started working for me, there were times that she would look at me with nothing but hate," Alex murmured, then he shook his head. "Ari loves me. Even though she pretends that she doesn't, I see it in her eyes all the time. She even saw me in my darkest moment and cared for me in ways I never imagined." He ran a hand over his face. "Natalieeeee why do you have to mess with my head!" He grumbled in frustration.
