Chapter 34

• Alexander Clay stopped in his tracks the moment he sighted Kaylee. He was shocked; more as if he was caught doing something illegal. His palms started becoming sweaty and he honestly didn't know how to act before his daughter. He was afraid any sound he made, or anything he said was going to ruin the peace of the moment.
• Even though Alex had prepared his mind that he was going to approach Kaylee, the thought of walking up to her at this very moment scared the hell out of him. He had never been close to her enough to know things about her but he had heard from people that she was a very smart child. Alex had no idea why but looking at Kaylee, he felt like the five-year-old would never be able to forgive him.
• Alexander knew Kaylee hadn't noticed his presence. She was so engrossed with the cereal she was eating and the cartoon she was watching. Her iPad was perfectly placed before her so she could enjoy some cartoons while eating her food. He saw her smile once in a while at what she was watching and he could swear that she looked really beautiful, even with her glasses on.
