Chapter 12

• Things between Alexander and Arianna had been awkward since the lunch date. Alex hardly made eye contact with Ari, neither did he engage in conversations with her that were not work-related. The duo had been buried with work and since there were no further distractions from Alexander Clay, Ari was able to focus on a lot of things. Being his secretary gave her access to a lot of information about his company so she had started going over every valuable information to see the best way in which she could strike back.
• Arianna had to pause the work she was doing because Alex requested her presence via the intercom. She helped herself into his office without knocking and came to a stop when she was just a few steps away from his table. "You sent for me!" Arianna spoke.
• "Yeah, take a seat!" Alexander said, typing away on his desktop.
