Chapter 42

• Alex heaved a long sigh and buried his face in his hands the moment Ellie exited his car. Bringing back his head up, he ran his left fingers through his hair. He reached for his phone right beside him, went to his contact list and stared at Arianna's contact. He had saved her name as "wifey". Even Natalie didn't earn that title in his life, heart or contact list.
• He had saved her name as "mystery girl" at first but he changed it to 'wifey' after a few days he discovered he was starting to like her. He had no idea why he chose wifey among all pet names but he had never felt the need to change it.
• Staring at her number for a while, Alex couldn't bring himself to dial it. Thinking about leaving her a text message, he went to the message board but everything he typed didn't seem to make sense. He typed and deleted for about four times before finally dumping his phone in anger.
