Chapter 53 Sly Old Fox and Sly Little Fox

• Going up to the second floor, after she went to Connor’s room and rummaged through his cabinet, Miranda was sure that the girl she met earlier shared a special relationship with Connor, much to Miranda’s delight. Miranda knew her days were numbered, because she wasn’t living in a world where people could cultivate and live forever. Her only regret was not seeing Connor getting married. Lately, that thought had been haunting her like the plague. She wanted Connor to date someone so much to the point she didn’t mind if his partner was a guy. All she wanted was to see him dating someone. Even so, Connor remained single.
• Miranda was already planning to ask a doctor to perform a checkup on Connor in case something was wrong with him. However, that proved to be unnecessary. She didn’t expect Connor to be hiding a girl in his home behind everyone’s back, but it came as a nice surprise. Miranda thought the girl looked aesthetically pleasing enough. She was fair, and her features were symmetrical. She’ll be a nice wife for Connor. Overwhelmed by delight, Miranda took out her cell phone and called Connor. “Hey, Connor. Do you have some time? I’m at your house. Come over as soon as possible.”
• “Grandma? Why are you at my house?” Connor arched his eyebrow.
